As an active community leader and activist, Daniel has been a hands-on advocate for a long list of issues including responsible development, governmental transparency, equal rights, children’s mental health and our environment.
Daniel served as the Director of Grants for Farm Share, Inc. Farm Share's mission since 1991 has been to recover the 40% of Florida crop that goes unused annually to give at no cost to the most vulnerable in the State of Florida.
Daniel’s past roles include his 5 years of service as County Chairman for Democracy for America of Broward County- a chapter of the largest progressive Super PAC in the United States founded by Former Vermont Governor Howard Dean in 2004.
Daniel lives in Haverhill, FL where he is an active resident. Daniel is so active that he recently won a historic election with over 60% of the vote, On March 13th 2018, Councilman Daniel Sohn became the first LGBTQ Council Member elected to the Town Council and at 27 years old is also the Youngest Elected Public Official in Palm Beach County, FL.
